If that extra 20 mm of tire is eually spaced left and right, in a hard corner, you'd have 10 mm extra tire on the outside edge of the outside wheel and 10 mm of extra on the inside edge of the inside wheel. Which I doubt would be noticable on the track, for 99% of the drivers here. If that extra is all on the outside, then the outside tire will have 20 mm of extra on the outside edge, while the inside tire will have no extra tire contacting the ground on the inside edge. Which I doubt would be noticable on the track, for 94% of the drivers here.
