| aftermarket manifolds. I have a feeling that the manifolds aren't really going to help those turbos all that much given how tiny the turbine is in them. It would be somewhat comparable to putting upgraded manifolds on with stock turbos: the turbine is just so small that the large majority of flow restriction isn't in the manifold itself but rather, in the flowrate of the turbine. When you use a set of Sport700/GT675RS/GT28RS turbos that have a 76-trim T28 wheel with a diameter of ~2, upgrading the exhaust manifold will have a larger positive impact on the system. The turbine in the GT28R is really small and has 10-blades, and doesn't flow a lot of exhaust very freely. We've made right at 500RWHP with those GT28R turbos on a TT with a lot of good mods, short of camshafts or upgraded exhaust manifolds. I wouldn't expect that you would see more than around 5-6% gained by upgrading the exhaust manifolds. ....but, that's just my guess.
