I met up with Jason(MD) today, he was looking into this black 1991 TT that was for sale in Great Falls, VA. I'll post more info about the car when I have it. We met at the guys house, took a look at the car, and it was rough, to say the least. Body was rattled and resprayed in a few places, interior was ripped up and cracked, and there was a few random wires going throughout the engine bay that clearly wern't supposed to be there. Sinse we were already there we decided to take it for a test drive, second gear pulled alright up until we got pulled over by two of Fairfax County's finest. They saw us accelerate pertty fast in 2nd, and sure enough came after us. I noticed the two cop cars before Jason, he was paying attention to driving as he was in the middle of a second gear pull. To describe the situation as the officers saw it, two young guys in a beat up black twin turbo, with the incorrect tags, no registration, no title, no info about the car at all really. Why there was no paper work for the car in the glove box or center console I'm not sure. Oh, and to make it look even better the stock stereo is on the floor between my feet, and the trunk is full of parts. And the best part, one of the officers called the "owner" of the car, and at first he claimed it wasn't his car, we have no idea why. So as you can guess, the officers had suspected that we stole the car. After about an hour they they figured everything out and let us go. However, the car did have some issue's. It was towed away and is being investigated by the departments auto theft guys I believe. Anyway, that made for an interesting afternoon. We should have checked the car ahead of time before we took it out. But thankfully the officers believed us, then again, we had nothing to hide. Oh, and they made us walk back to our cars. :(
