Message	I don't know a thing about welds, welding, or bending metal. But I recently bought a "map gas" torch to heat stuck bolts and such. So I guess it's time to ask the basic-level questions. Is such a torch sufficient for the hanger bending you describe? If so, do you heat the hanger a few inches from the weld attachment to the exhaust, or do you heat the weld itself? Does it matter? I don't want to weaken anything by messing around with it and bending too agressively where I shouldn't. - John
