My first Z! My dream has come true, after many years. It's a 1993 2-seater NA, black on black leather, 5-speed, with approximately 151k miles on the odometer. The guy was selling it for $5.5k, but he REALLY needed cash to move to New York in the next week, so I was able to talk him down to $4k. For that price, it looks damned good, and it runs excellent. As far as I could tell, there were no leaks, it just needs new rear brake pads. I've been doing a lot of reading around on here, and I've concluded that I am, what you guys would call, a "purist." My goal is to pull out as much power as I can out of my Z, without doing turbos, NOS, etc. I understand that I will be generally condemned, with such suggestions as converting my NA to TT, or "why put all that money into a NA, when you could get more power with the same money in a TT?" and whatnot. Sure, it makes sense to do so, but I currently don't have the desire to put out 500 rwhp. I just want a reasonably strong Z, minus the magic of forced induction. That said: any suggestions, NA enthusiasts (or unbiased TT owners)? Of course, I plan on doing the most basic mods, including exhaust, headers, ECU and intake. What about brands? I was thinking of Labree for the exhaust, Stillen for the headers, JWT for the ECU and I'm undecided on the intake. A friend of mine told me that I could use the DOOLZ setup on mine, but for whatever reason, I was under the impression that it's solely for TT's. Also! Somewhere down the line, I'd like to convert my interior to tan cloth, because I like the "warmer" feeling. I think it's more comfortable, too. The only thing I can't seem to find, are the cloth seats. How would I go about getting a pair? And that concludes this novel-of-a-post. Thanks.
