Message Mind you that there are many factors involved and I wont be naming them all. In fact, I might even glance over some big ones as this is just off the top of my head:

-Supras, Skylines and RX-7s are all far more rare in number than the Z32 is in the US.
-The Z32 came well before any of the current gen Japanese cars you speak of (in the US) and left the market before the rest. A year or two of difference in the media/internet age is a big deal when it comes to "presence".
-The Skyline being Nissan's "notch up" makes it easier for the Z32 to be in the shadows, even if it was only available in Japan for the most part. Two "flagships" = split attention especially when one has a far deeper history and the other is coming out of a not-so-spectacular design era known as "the 80s".
-Supras/Skylines/RX-7s are in the media far more often (a byproduct, no doubt, of some of the reasons above).

Again, these are to just a few possible reasons. I also like to think that part of it is the community. For quite some time the "tuner" market did not exist with the Z32 like it did for other cars. The parts, the shops and more importantly, the people just weren't there in numbers to tweak this car or get the buzz going. Attribute that to a million other reasons like a difficult to work on engine bay, two of everything, or once again anything else previously mentioned.

The fact is, you can search and search for reasons but in the end we'll never nail it down to just one...or even a few. I actually enjoy driving a car that, while mass produced compared to the others, is still relatively mysterious and awe-inspiring to people I run across. Either they don't know what it is and they're intrigued or they have always wanted one and can't believe clean ones still exist.

Thankfully at the end of the day it's what the car does for you that matters. So enjoy it! =)

amount of stupid people and stupid logic that dominate Twinturbo.net today."
