Message I purchased a 1990 300Zx TT just a bit ago after trying to find a good one for many years. Honestly it was one of those cars I always wanted, but it was never in the front of my mind on a daily basis. Along with the Supra Turbo and of course the Skyline it helped make up my "normal person's supercar list." The Z32 also was really the easiest to justify for bang for the buck, luxury and style too.

Since I picked it up I have noticed a very strange phenomenon. Everyone loves the car and tells me stories of lusting after one at one point or another, but it doesn't seem to have that impact until it is brought up in conversation. It is almost as if the whole world has forgotten that it ever existed until you mention it. You hear longings for Supra or discussion of current cars, but never the 300ZX.

I was at the mall this weekend and there were two stores that sell models and die cast cars and they had old Supras, RX-7s, Silvias, 350Zs etc. When I asked if they had a 300ZX the clerk immediately said no, but did so with a longing tone to it, as if to say I can't believe we don't.

Did one of the greatest cars in modern history really fall off the map like this? I think it has to have to some degree as evidenced by the low entry price for even the best examples of 300ZX TTs. What do you think?
