| about -- now I know what it's for. It's not a lane indicator -- it's the right side of that roadway (the HOV). The double double yellow is for the other side of traffic, thus yellow (left side). Amazing, for once Utah did something that actually made sense. The reason I wanted to learn about all this is because UTAH just put in a bunch of HOV lanes and uses DOUBLE SOLID white lines between HOV and normal lanes. This makes more sense and is less subject to interpreation, because double solid white means NO CROSSING (lane switching) between adjacent, same direction lanes. But, Utah did this WITHOUT any signs showing when you should exit to get off at the right place. It's going to suck for outsiders and insiders a like. They're giving a month worth of warnings, then it's tickets. -Dave
