I forget what size the crank shaft bolt is but get a socket onto the bolt. Next, using a large breaker bar, brace it against the bolt. Let the breaker bar brace against the frame rail of the car. Finally, get inside the car and slowly crank the ignition key. A few taps of the key should do it. The engine will turn but the socket and breaker bar will spin the bolt right off. Works for me everytime. Oh yes, don't forget that the engine will spin in one direction-I can't remember whether it's clock wise or counter clock wise. Have someone tap the ignition key while you watch the front of the engine-you'll figure out which way the engine rotates. Simply brace the breaker bar in the opposite direction of the rotating engine. Remember, don't crank the ignition as if you're starting the car. Otherwise, the socket and breaker bar will come off at a high rate of speed-may cause injury or damage if this occurs. Just lightly tap the ignition key.
