| An OEM oil galley plug is press fit in to create a seal. Just incase the engine gets hot, it is covered with silicone or jb weld to hold the oil in when it leaks past the plug? So when the plug fails, the extra sealer will conceal the problem, allow it to get worse and eventually a catastrophic failure of both plug and sealer occurs. Instead of silicone, we step it up a notch to JB weld if we are clairvoyant and believe you will drive hard... or we didn't install the plug correctly... I must have missed that step in the FSM At least they are willing to fix their mistake, if one was made.
