Message	going to court without a lawyer. Late-20's male, kakhi pants, button-up shirt, leather shoes. Be poilite, etc, just ask for a REDUCTION in the speeding ticket, or to be able to take deferred adjudication/defensive driving. Not even asking for a dismissal, or for the ticket to be thrown out. Never worked. Did I mention I was the only person in the courtroom NOT wearing a football jersey, shots, sandals, a *hat*, etc(besides the court officials)? Probably a half dozen other times I've just gotten a lawyer, and every time it has been dismissed outright. No reduced speed or fine, just thrown out. Everyone wants a "piece of the pie". When you hire a lawyer and feed the court system, you are "playing by their rules", and they will cut you a break. Try playing using your rules (defend yourself), and you will be walked over.
