| Ok I made this post here ahwile ago. Previous Post With Videos Click Here I have figured out the noise in those previous videos. After testing and testing I was able to determine the noise was only coming from the passenger side, but would randomly deflect and come out the driver side. This caused me to think I had a problem with both sides of the car. Once I realized it was definetly only coming from the passenger side, I quickly decided to swap the rotors and see if that would make a difference. "It did" the noise did a complete 180, and when I swtiched them back to the proper side the noise followed. So I know its the rotor and thank god I bought my brakes from Stoptech because their CS rocks. After explaining everything I had done and what my final conclusion was, they quickly sent me out a new rotor. Now I have to say the problem is 99% solved because I have not installed the new rotor yet. The following vids show why, after I completely removed the brakes from my car just to confirm the noise would go away completely (which it did), I have another friggin noise which has nothing to do with the brakes. OK here it goes, I always had 2 noises but I though that they were caused by the same thing, so I never really payed much attention to the second noise (in the vids below). But now with the brakes off the car I have to figure out this problem before I reinstall them. Here's the noise with the big brakes on the car. Going around in circles in a parking lot. Big Movie - sorry about the size Here's the noise currently with the stock brakes. It does not do it constantly like above. Only when going slowly forward and backwards while turning the wheel. Its a random click/bang/clank noise, only sounds like a click in the vids. Sorry about the wind noise, these vids are much smaller tho. Few clicks near the end Longer vids with clicks near the end again Good example with clicks near the beginning of vid Again, I'm just going forwards and backwards on the street while turning the wheel from one full extension to the other. What I've done. -The noise will not reproduce on the hoist, the car must be moving and loaded. -I changed to the SPL V2 tension rods from the Stillen (didn't change anything) I have to say the SPL rods are about the sweetest suspension piece I've ever bought (thumbs way up) -I changed the wheel studs for a joke, didnt change a thing. -I tried the factory rims and another set of BBS rims, didn't change. -I had 3 people inspect the suspension along with an alingment, no change. -I've spent countless hours looking for anything that has a wear mark, nothing. -I installed the upper strut gaskets that were MIA some time ago, no change.
-I did notice that my rack is leaking out both ends, barely anything, it doesn't drip, but fluid is getting by. -As you can see the big brakes really brought out the noise, not sure why/how/what? I'll take any suggestion you can throw at me, I'm at a loss and have an appointment at the dealer next week. I would love to cancel tho.
