| And sometimes you need to hold those gears. Additionally, you have control of gear selection at all times. You can see down the road/course, but your TCU can only see what you are doing right now. It won't know if you are in a turn. That paddle shifter setup may be a *reasonable* substitute for a manual considering the above points only.
