| And I am a strong advocate of it on the auto trans. To pull the auto engine/trans together you can leave the starter on, just put a bag over the output of the trans. To pull an auto trans you will not need to lower the subframe. Use the 2 bolt holes on the right and left sides of the plenum, this is the perfect balance point for the engine and trans to angle outward. If your worried about strength there remember, you are bolting into the plenum, which is held down with many strong torqued bolts, and you are bolting into a bracket which also bolts to the block. The engine and trans will come out without a problem, Ive done this several times now the way and it is the far easyer way to remove the auto. However, for a manual it requires dropping the subframe down and sometimes disconnecting the steering shaft, while it makes it much easyer overall, it doesnt really save you any time since theres more work involved.
