Message about to undergo. Lets say you want a nice set of turbos and you go with these:

$4100 - $1900 = $2200

$2200 = labor

Lets throw in a set of turbo related gaskets and seals for another ?? $200 so you still have $2000 for labor.

Now just to make sure I understand completely. They don't plan on doing a complete engine pull, just a halfway engine pull? But they're going to charge you top dollar as though they pulled the engine and performed a thorough inspection and quality job.

In my opinion if they're only going to halfway the job then they should only charge you half the amount quoted. If they're such a quality shop why are they afraid to disconnect a few electrical connectors? Makes me question their expertise.

I think for that kind of money you could get a set of turbos and a wiring harness while the engine is out. Also there will be incidentals that you'll find while the engine's out such as loose or worn hardware, worn mounts, worn bushings, leaks in or around areas that are now easily visible, etc. That would be the right way to do the job.
