| up by the rear view mirror and haven't had problems picking up police (on K or Ka). My only complaint about the 8500 is that the laser falses way too much. It goes off when I hit a certain point on the tach, if I blow the horn, sometimes when I use the wipers. I've been thinking that I should send it in to see if it needs a s/w upgrade. But other than that it works great - and the "Expert" mode gives you multiple single bars for each signal. Good luck, Dave
