I don't need to go down a range and my car is perfectly in tune. The question was besides the shorter longevity and time speant changing plugs, are there any disadvantes? We already know what the benefits are. Besides I check my plugs frequently, so it's not a waste of time in my case. Additionally, copper will give me a stronge spark at a lower heat range than platinum. If I go down to PFR7Bs, it will be harder to pass emissions and my idle will suffer. I know, I already tried it. I get the smoothest cleanest idle on the 5Bs, but those are too hot. The copper are far cooler in the same spark range because copper conducts electricty so much better.
