| Every now and then I get a tank of 91 that really isn't 91 or is bad gas and I have minor pinging even at 12 psi until I fill up again from a known good station at which point I'm fine at 16 psi with no pinging issues at all. I had suspected this kind of thing might happen but didn't really believe it until I recently read about gas staton owners passing off 87 as 91 and getting busted for it. Seems to be happing a lot more since the price of gas went up. Now it isn't as much of a problem now that I've mapped out the good stations along my routes and I only go to a few trusted ones and I haven't had any more issues since doing this, but stuff happend. When you run high boost, you can never really be sure you won't get a bad tank of gas, especially in california.
