Message 54.3mm GT25 compressor wheel, 60 trim, in a 0.80 A/R housing.

The compressor map:

Maximum pressure ratio is around 2.65, which makes a peak maximum boost of 23.93psi. (14.5 * 2.65) - 14.5 It will only achieve this boost level for a narrow range of engine RPM: around 4000RPM to about 5000RPM and the boost will fall (it will follow the very top contour line as engine rpm/airflow increases.

Granted, Garrett has been known to fudge their compressor flow maps in such a way that the upper region is omitted, thereby giving a false image of what the compressor is capable of. They did this on the GT2860RS for some wacky reason - that "new" map shows the turbo only being able to produce 24-25psi of pressure but I have seen a peak of ~31.2psi in my personal Z, which is equipped with the same compressor section. The "old" GT2860RS compressor map is correct and the new one has a large region at higher pressure ratios omitted.

Given that this map shows a 60% efficiency at that top line, I think it may be correct. This looks to be right given the efficiency that this size turbo operates at as it approaches surge/choke.

Has anyone with Sport 530BB's been able to produce more than ~24psi? If so, this map is missing info.

This is why it sucks when a manufacturer decides to "fudge" their datasheet information....
