Message I saw this Ad posted about a month ago in the classifieds.

I having been looking for set of braided brake lines so I called this member and "unfortunately" they were available. the lines were $50USD. I offered him $60USD to send them to me here in Vancouver. Why $60? Because I find knew what they were worth.

From before I sent this guy the check I asked him to put either "gift or replacement parts" on the package. Apparently those instructions were too complex.

I got home yesterday (after waiting almost 1 month) to a UPS slip. When I looked on the slip it says I owe UPS custom - $40.17. Why you may ask... Mr. Man "gave it to his shipping department to mail and they didnt put the instructions".

Why on earth would I buy a set of used lines (that may or may not leak) for $60 PLUS an addt'l $40 when I can get new lines for $89.

Off course I was not pleased!!! Who in there right mind would be? Hear is a transcript of the initial agreement.
Please note - I am not suggesting anyone hear not buy from this retard... you make your own decision. I am suggesting however honouring an agreement is important EVEN after you have cashed someones check.

------------------------------------------------------
At your convenience....Dont bother!!!
I wish you had expressed your High moral turpitude before you cashed my cheque. Since you were so appauled by the idea, why didnt you say NO, that is not the way I do business. This was in no way a suprise that was sprung on you. If you had objections to my proposition do you think I would've done business with you? It is interesting you only develop a knack for legallity after you got what you wanted. Why could'nt you at least put used items on package?

Well, you can keep it. Lets see if your high moral sense sells it!

you know what, its one thing when something goes wrong and you go to that person and talk to them like a human being about working it out, and its another thing to bring an attitude such as you did and expect them to try and help you and telling them what to do. I don't respond to the latter. But I don't think a business is going to lie in order for you to save some money. I will look into it at my next earliest convienence.

Shawn,

expect a call from me. You dont following instructions very well. I got a slip today from UPS charging me $41 to clear the item. I specifically asked you to put GIFT or REPLACEMENT PART on the item.
You need to send them NEW paper work as I have not intention of paying that. You might be new to shipping by mistakes like this is VERY costly. UPS is exepecting a call from you.

Shawn,

My address is XXXXXX , XXXXXXX, Canada
(XXXXXXXX / XXXXXXXX)
- Just send it regular USPS mail (post office) as I have no
idea when I am goiing to install this. Be sure to put "used or Gift" on the package otherwise customs will nail me. As I
said in my previous email $60 should cover it as its less
than 1 lbs.
