Message Heavy wetsanding working from 600, to 1000, to 1500, then finally 2000.

Heavy polishing with a very thin rubbing compound.

Plastic Polish/PlastX (not necessary, but helps)

Several coats of a sealing wax to protect the new finish.

The wax is essential to keeping the lens from deteriorating again.

Baically, you sand and polish all the old deteriorated plastic so you have a new fresh, polished surface.

I have great success with this method.
