Message	How ha e emission standards changed over the years? Does the VQ require premium fuel? From what I know, the only thing that has changed is the OBD standard, which does test other additional things in the system. I'm not aware of any additional emission control systems (hardware) that have been required though. The VQ is a high compression engine so I do believe that it requires premium fuel.
