higher-end sportscars at the time(The '90 Corvette 245hp, '90 Supra 232hp, etc.) It obviously surpassed expectations in both design and engineering. Thats why it was priced where it was when it first was introduced. Obviously with time...price increased because of required rules and regulations for automobiles, import costs, etc. The Z33 was designed the way it was because Nissan, for one, needed a sportscar and wanted to get back to basics with the same kind of design as the 240Z. This was a sharp original design with a sporty motor that was cost efficent, under 30K starting price. Its Competition? Lets keep it in the Mustang, Camaro, category. So if they said the 300zx looks like a Camaro; tell them the 350Z is categorized with a camaro. Any given day a 300zx would hands down get more looks and stares then any 350Z. Unless of course its a riced out Z then its just looks of WTF is that?
