Message	I might have a few extra from hostechniques.com for you. I'll check when I get home and email you. The humps are more so the pipes don't need to be straight on. Or not as much as straight couplers require them. At least that's what all my friends and I have been using them for. I think it's so they can move around a bit, but whatever works. I wouldn't say you *need* them
