| i'm looking to buy a vehicle and a friend of mine is offering me his 1990 300zx turbo for $800. i'm looking for some input as to whether or not it's a good idea. the car is in good running condition from what i could tell even though it has nearly 200k miles on it. he works as an auto mechanic and has changed out/replaced several parts in the car and has owned it since 1993. the problems with it are mostly cosmetic. the seats are torn up pretty badly (which i don't really care about). what i do care about is that the driver side door is REALLY messed up. it does not lock, there is exposed wiring, no 'chassis' or covering on the inside at all. basically what i'm asking is how much would it cost to replace the door, since i'm guessing it's too messed up to repair, and if despite these cosmetic problems if $800 is a fair price for this car with 200k miles on it in good condition.
