| life is an incredibly small fraction of what goes into running AshSPEC. In this year to date, I've taken like three personal weekends: February when I got my Z together to come to gville for a roadcourse event, last weekend for father's day which I also found that there was an event that saturday just a couple of days prior, and this weekend for my birthday. My trip to ZCON, for all intensive purposes, was business related, but it was a nice time as well. Most people have seen about 26 weekends so far this year - I can count mine on one hand. I dont make the IC ducts myself - I made the patterns and handed them off to a FG shop for production and I have been at their mercy and dealing with manufacturing issues. I could have stayed home last weekend, this weekend, and for ZCON and the status of the ducts would be no different. AshSPEC is not just Ash Powers by himself. AshSPEC has not given up on these products - it has unfortunately taken longer than expected to get the manufacturing side up to speed but we are working on that hand over fist, I assure you. Not sure if you have seen this, but I made a post some time ago in April that showed the patterns and ducts for these ICs. Since then, only two sets have come from the patterns and the patterns sustained damage each time and had to be rebuilt twice. Right now the FG shop is remanufacturing better molding patterns that will hold up to large production volumes. As I stated in the email I sent last night to you, I'd be happy to send you the set from my Z even if for only a show of good will on my behalf. [ http://ashspecz.com/ashspec/MassiveSMICDucts/ ]
The 2.5" piping is another product that will be brought to market - haven't given up there either. We are waiting for other parts to arrive for a native twinturbo chassis so that we can assemble the final pipe pattern set. I wont publically mention who or what we are waiting on as I dont want to drag others through this, but I am at their mercy. My mistake was expecting that other people would work as diligently as myself to complete the tasks I requested of them, and overlooking that they are also at the mercy of others' in their circles. Sometimes I am far too optimistic about timelines and this is definately one of them. Regardless, if you have known me for any length of time, you will know that I never give up. Maybe late, but not never... and I will always work with anyone to find the best solution if a situation arises. I do appreciate your business - AshSPEC would not be around if it were not for the support of the community. I sincerely apologize for the delay in getting these products out to market and hope that you can see how much of myself I put into the company.
