When I took my car to the bodyshop for a paintjob, I told them I wanted the trim re-painted. I told them I didn't care how they did it, but I wanted it black, smooth, and to last. I went to pick it up and it looked great, just as a stock one without the fade. Mine had been in good shape, just faded all to hell. I asked him how he painted them. He said he just rubbed the trim with the stuff they use to cleanup the old paint before starting the re-paint. I had used back to black, and every rubber/vinal/plastic protectant, cleaner, conditioner known to man. He said he just went over it once with the rag and it ate any of that crap out of the trim and returned it black. It's been clean ever since too. I'd be careful to get that crap on your paint though =). I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head though, but I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about.
