| conservative to say the least. IF you had stock intercoolers I would say that it would be pushing it, but you have upgraded ICs. The rod bearing failure was not a result of detonation else your piston's ring lands in that cylinder would have failed far earlier. To say that 20-21psi of boost with WI is what caused your failure makes no sense at all given that there is no evidence of piston failure that would have preceeded the bearing failure - the ring lands would have long given up before the bearing reached its current state. This is what you would have been pulling the engine apart for if it were from too much boost on WI: The bearings in the bottom end of my motor looked perfect even after this severe piston failure caused from detonation.
