clips behind the SMZ. That was the fastest of the 4 runs I went on too. Got between 95-100, and only because we hung back for a bit and then punched it up to speed. This event was a huge disappointment for me considering the rumor that the OKZCC got around february/march was that TMS's stance was that we "wouldnt be able to go fast enough to worry about it". While I knew that couldnt be true, I certainly expected to be going above interstate speeds at a greater margin than 5-10 mph.
The last run for me at 1100 the damn pace car barely broke 70. As the morning went on they were figuring out everyone's little tricks to sneak some speed and were doing all they could to prevent it. I certainly hope if a similar event is held at Daytona that it isnt run in the same overly-nanny-fied fashion. The excuses for it were comical. Whatever though, I got the footage I wanted from it. Otherwise I would have been a bit more dissatisfied with it.
