Message I want to point out some reasons that all those are not necessarily entirely applicable to our cars.
Number of cylinders:
Tests were done on 4 cylinder engines or more importantly an engine with an even number of cylinders(per manifold). I can defintly appreciate the advantage of an equal length setup there, where for lack of a better term there is an equal push/pull to help with scanvenging, ect. But, I would have to theorize that with only 3 cylinders a good amount of the advantage would be diminished because the push/pull isn't at all balenced. Just throwing that idea out there.

Design of the log style manifolds:
One was cast, one was tubular and one was not shown. All (shown) seem to have a poor design where exhaust pulses are aim right into each other (very different than the log style manifolds in our cars).

Thermal:
None of them were thermally coated My original complaint of tublular manifolds - unable to insulate and leak tons of heat)

It was the best of the tubular equal length vs. the worst of the log style. Kauh, you should put Sean's MSP manifolds on your car for kicks sometime and meansure the differenece (after you unsulate them).

Bascally i was just trying to point out that there are advantages to a well designed cast log style manifold, not just disadvatages (when compared to tubular equal length) as implied by others.
