Message A 6.5 inch mid driverin the door should be plenty of mid bass/vocal for a superb front sound stage.
The installation of ant door speakers is key.
Dont just take out the bose enclosure and mount your new kappas in the door. It will sound like ass.
You'll need to fabricate and enclosure within the door.
You can always add your extra mid-driver but it will most likely need to be mounted at each corner of the kick panel. Q-Forms makes alot of these but they dont have one for the Z yet. look them up...its not that hard to fab yourself.

and you 6.5 co-ax's will do fine in the rear as fill

: Hey all,

: I am working on the complete replacement of the factory system in my TTZ and have come to several crossroads. First, I have already purchased the following for use:

: 1 - Infinity Kappa 255A Amp (4+1 channel w/built in crossover)
: 2 - Infinity Kappa 12" subs (single voice coil to be run in parallel)
: 1 - Pioneer Premier DEX-P1R head unit (if you haven't seen/heard one, it is incredible!)
: 1 - Audio Control ESP2 (spacial restoration)
: 1 - Audio Control Epicenter (bass restoration)

: Now for the choices: I want to stick with the Kappa line of speakers for the rest of the system so that isn't a problem. What I am pondering is the setup in the doors. I definately want seperates with a 6.5" woofer for mid-bass but am not sure if I can squeeze either a 4" or 5.25" mid-range somewhere as well. This would allow me bring the sound stage higher as the mid would most likely be somewhere near the tweeter. Has anyone else done this and if so, where did you mount the speakers? Also, what is the best speaker to fit into the rear pods for fill? I am thinking of a Kappa coax but will 6.5" fit back there?

: Thanks for any help!

: A
