Message	and arguably > F1 cars Paul Tracy, Villenueve, and the most well known/skilled IRL drivers were forced to race in a lesser league. You may be too young to remember CART in the early 90's late 80's. But it was everything F1 was, and faster/tougher. Several F1 drivers left F1 for CART, not the least of which being Mario Andretti, Jaques Villenueve, and IIRC Alex Zanardi. The series was sunk by one greedy track owner who's need for more money cared nothing for the integrity of the sport.
