Message when Texas Motor Speedway hosted its first Champ Car event. They had to cancel the race the day prior. It was a fiasco for the track and Champ cars. I think only a couple actually momentarily lost consciousness, and crashed.

The combination of the high banking and the cars' downforce resulted in wide open throttle all the way around the track. The quick steady interval of high G's was preventing blood from circulating in their heads on the bankings. The cars were going so fast down the straights that it didnt have enough time to flow completely back unimpeded, so after a certain number of laps, el crasho. Others who didnt reach the point of loss of consciousness complained of nausea after their practice sessions.

Thats crazy if you ask me. I never read if Texas redid the banking or not, at the time it was a huge deal as IIRC, TMS may not have held a NASCAR event yet and this was the biggest event for them since opening.
