Message The NoVA crew set out Saturday morning with Dave N in tow, which made for a total of six Zs.
From left to right: Dave N, Adam, YugoBernie, TT XTZ, Spee & Governor at our lunch stop:

Adam enjoyed having top down on his freshly TTed 'vert:

Later in the day we thought we'd lost him, but he caught up after recovering from a touch of sunstroke. :-P Gotta watch those rays!

We reached the west side of Nashville before sundown, and traded Wayne for David Scott (Scotty1), seen here joining us for dinner at Cracker Barrel:

After which we retired for the night to our lovely rooms in the Super 8. I went out to my Z for something, only to find Bernie and Adam debating whether their Zs might be safer elsewhere in the lot. Apparently there were some shady characters lurking around, and we were situated at the back of the hotel. After driving around to the front, they determined that was no better and came back. I got ready to pass out, only to discover - no alarm clock. WTF? Let me take this opportunity to disrecommend the Super 8 on Charlotte Pike. :-/

Two more Zs joined us overnight - Boileralum & Dogpile in one, EricTTZ & g/f Jessica in the other for a total of eight:

I stuck the camera out the window and fired off some experimental shots, capturing such scenic elements as the road lines, my spoiler & my rear wiper, but I did manage to get a few decent ones:

The arm shadow cracks me up:

Rich's first pit stop - running low on oil.

We watched in disbelief as one rig scraped its trailer all across the back edge of another at this rest stop and then hit the highway without pausing, leaving behind a pile of curled metal shavings.

Rich's second stop, at the Wal-Mart for oil.

Third time's a charm... This stop was a bit longer than the others, as it required some surgery and a trip down the road for what turned out to be the wrong size hose, but Rich recovered in a way that would make MacGyver proud.

Welcome to Arkansas!

A state notable for this milestone:

What is that ahead??

Welcome to Texas, yo!

We made it, and just in time, as Rich and Rob were now fighting off brain damage from the exploded Red Top battery in their Z.
Halo Z welcoming committee:

The view from my room, made all the more posh by comparison to the previous night's Super 8 stay:

We were late to Mad Mike's party, but we made it. You could only attend if you arrived in a red Z - good thing I rode with Wayne!
