| Basically, on a track, you don't really want "ON/OFF" engagement the 6-pucks have. You want to be able to control the slippage a bit for a bit of control when making gear changes, especially if you have to do them at not so optimal times. The 6-pucks are good for "right now" engagement, and that is a good thing for a drag strip. Trying to use a disc clutch on a drag strip will tend to burn it up fairly quickly.
