Message	unit? If you want to use a PDA, I would wonder how much map data it could hold. You might be swapping data in and out of the machine. I have a Magellan Roadmate 700, which holds all the map data in a hard drive, so it covers Canada and the US. It has a touch screen, and is easy to use. The only thing I don't like about it is that it sometimes takes a while to acquire the GPS signal from the satellites when you haven't used it for a while.
