Message So, if I understand correctly. When there is detonation, voltage is sent to the ECU. This voltage will trigger the ECU to retard the timing and also put it in saftey boost (if the knock doesn't go away), but if somebody is using an ebc, it's impossible for a car to go into safteyboost.

So basically, what I am wondering, it is possible for a car with an ebc to have deonation, the ecu to retard the timing, try and unsuccessfully lower the boost, so basically, somebody could be driving thier car with the timing retarded do to unknown detonation and not know it because they would still be getting full boost. correct?
