First of all, I have a TT - and the turbos produce all the backpressure we'd ever want - so on a turbo, you want the most free flowing exhaust you can get, period. NOW... for an NA... it MAY BE TRUE that you want some backpressure.. I'm not saying it is true, as I don't think I've ever seen concrete evidence (real dyno #s etc) to prove that. Also, it is likely a trade off - the slight backpressure will help some at low rpms, but when you open it up I believe you'll find that the less restrictive exhaust will give you a better top end. My own experience is that replacing my aftermarket X pipe (B&B) with the stock H-pipe/resonator had a definite performance impact on my TT. The car felt noticably more sluggish with the stock resonator back in place. Your milage may vary. If it makes you feel better, you're welcome to buy the stillen one, and if you're not happy with it (it's only about 2 hrs to take on and off) I'll be happy to buy it from you for $50 less than you paid. ;-) I'm in the market for an X pipe again.
