Why run them to the max and increase your EGT's when you can run a bigger turbo at lower boost ( if you get the supporting mods to decrease the lag ) ? My Z with the GT28RS is barely more laggy than stock. At 14PSI ( which doesn't take time to build at all ), there is 450rwhp ( with conservative A/F curve and low EGT temps ). On the 530BB, these numbers would be reached at higher boost levels which will increase the EGT's and shorten the turbos life expectancy. The real question is not the lag, the real question is area under the curve ( RWHP curve that is ) and the power band . All of this is dependant on the user's / driver's expectation. It's obvious that Joe has done his homework and I am glad that he is pleased with the step up from JWT530 BB to the GT28RS.
