Message	but it tore through the fiberglass frame on the hood with the force of the wind(that's why it took a few seconds to fly open after the latch unhooked). The catch hold was made of fiberglass, not metal and it failed with that much force. I'm thinking that is why VIS recommends hood pins for their hoods but IMO, for a street car, hood pins are cheesy, that's why I chose not to install them.
