ZCon was a real blast. Although I couldnt have gone to past ZCons anyway, I wish I could have now that I see what I was missing out on. Overall it was a great experience, I spent probably more on gas last week for the Z than I have spent the entire year from all the driving around. It was really cool putting faces to all the names you see on TTnet. I met almost every member I recognized either from their own picture or if I saw someone standing next to a familiar car. It was so hard trying to remember everyone's screen name/real name/Z so but it was a real pleasure chatting with folks that I knew yet didnt know.....Greg, Damon, Dustin, Ashley-tt xtz, Dee, Andrew-mousersix, Andrew from austin, Rodel, Kyle from IPP, Joe-turbodog, Spencer, Alex, Kuah, Steve, Steve-guapo, and Todd along with all the SN's whose real name I cant remember, MidlifeZ AliaZ, snoguitar, caliguypurdue, boileralum, dogpile, collegeboy, the list goes on. I tried to at the least introduce myself and shake hands with as many as I could but I am positive there were many of you I didnt meet. As for the events, I have to say the events were quite underwhelming to start out. The party at mad mike's was good though, I got there just before the free saki and left at dark. The food was excellent and hey, free beer, cant beat that. Mike is an amazing guy. He can yuck it up with anyone as if they were long time drinking buddies and is as friendly as can be. His Z memorabilia is an astounding collection. He is a truly unique individual, and if you ask me, he is literally a personification of what the whole Z car phenomenon is all about. The opening banquet was ho-hum IMO, but things started picking up around tuesday, the ttnet cruise out to Bone Daddy's was cool. Having that many Z32s driving out together is a sight I have never seen before and was alot of fun to take part in. I noticed more than a few heads turning as we rolled by the slow pokes on the expressways. Wednesday was the car show, a very good turnout and a decent variety of Z's. I am amazed at how impeccably clean and dressed up some of you guys' Z's are. It was a photo op like no other and a great time to talk about Zs with many different types of Z owners. The TTnet dinner was a great follow up for a good show. Greg and Damon did a really nice job on making it an enjoyable dinner. I was so pissed off because I was staying on the westside of Ft Worth and after the show I went to my room to shower and change, and I ended up getting stuck in a torrential downpour AND gridlock on 820 and was about an hour late for the dinner. So I missed the caravan to the dinner and I thought food was already going to be served and gone by the time I got there. Thankfully that wasnt the case and I got there with plenty of time to eat, but I did miss extra raffle ticket sales so i didnt win anything. MidlifeZ cleaned up though, lucky dog won the 300 degree fuel rail and some other nice prize. Greg unveiled the new TTnet secret weapon to a chorus of ooohhs and aaaaaahhs, it looked really cool and is going to be a really great feature for the site. It was a great dinner and the sponsors really came through and helped make it an enjoyable event. Big time thanks to Greg/Damon along with their wives (whom I secretely suspect were the brains behind the operation), and the sponsors who helped them make it happen. I really enjoyed myself. So here's some random shots from the week. I'll post the rest in follow ups for the other major events, enjoy.

Shots from the garage. This garage was 3 floors, about 30 spaces by 15 spaces. I'd say it was 75% full of Z's.
Here you can see Shawn explaining the difference between regular Z's and flying ones.
