| I should clarify a bit. I left out the ET Streets mainly because if you're running more power than the MT Street Radials can handle you're probably hardcore and need MT Drags. Really the chain is MT Drag > MT ET Street> MT ET Street Radial > BFG Drag Radial For reference:
[ http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/strip.html ] The ET Streets have long been the standard drag tire for 10-12 second cars. It's a great tire and people recommending it are quite right though they require a bit more caution if driving to the drags or on the street. The newer ET Street Radials lived up to the hype of being able to handle 10-second cars though higher horsepower manuals doing clutch drops may slip as you head into the low 10-second range. Automatics can get into the 9s with them, just barely. If you're not running even close to that, they are the choice for you, especially since you want a little more safety in your tire. They can be driven on the street just fine and aren't nearly as bad in the rain or in the turns, though still not as good as regular street tires. Even still, they handle gobs of power and seem to defy all logic given the sidewalls don't flex nearly as much as the ET Streets. You'd be running the same setup as DRDCanaceu with Stock TT rears. Look great, work great. As for where to get them, I think he found a local place for a good deal so I'm not sure. Might drop him an email.
