I run a pretty large Body shop here in Florida. I have been working on my 95 tt for the last six months. After I had all normal bolt on's intake, ecu, boost controller, stillen intercoolers, test pipes, Dpipes, new suspension etc etc etc, I tore apart the whole body and did a full detrim repaint and replaced every seal, trim piece on the outside of the car. well the last week I have been putting that car back together and a customer whom drives a new Z06 says to me, why you wasting all your time and money on an old car like that. I heard that those 300's had crappy motors and the turbos dont last. Well obviously after spending about at least a couple hundred man hours restoring my dream car I wanted to knock this guy out. I then proceded to inform him that this car has one of the most bulletproof stock motors around. Also that these cars with the right modifications on a stock block could run in the mid 500's maybe more. The guy says, "you mean to tell me that little japanese car can compete with a 500 hp v8 your dreaming." I told him that that my car would crush his car once im done with the build. He says to me unless you have nitrous there is no way you could beat my car. Well we bet $2500 hundred bucks that I could take him. So i thougt to myself hmm some turbos, tune, and some injectors, clutch and have him pay for it. The new Z06 has like 505 at the motor so it's probbaly pusing 480 or so at the wheels. Thats good but doesnt compare to some of the lightly tuned cars on this site. I wish more people had respect for the Z32tt it just makes me sad. On the other hand it makes me happy that I am enlightened enough to know that the Z is an amazing platform. Well time to get my upgrades in order so I can smoke this fool. Once I am done and we race I am going to post it up here.
