Message So my friend john and I pulled the transmission yesterday and I was very surprised at how easy it was. It took one hour to pull it out and the hardest thing to do was get the rusty exhaust bolts off which might I add are now replaced with new stainless steel bolts from home depot.

Also here is something that maybe you guys can use when taking the pilot bushing out. Instead of using a chisel my friend john had a great idea of putting grease in the pilot bushing hole until it is filled up then getting something round that can fit in that hole and banging on the grease in the hole until the pilot bushing comes out. The bushing came out in about a 1 min. This I would assume would be more gental on the surrounding area and faster.

So one of the reasons I pulled the transmission was because I wanted to find out what this awful whining sound was coming from my transmission. I thought it was the throw out bearing well it was not. So now I have to pull it again and swap it with my old tranny that I am going to get rebuilt here shortly.

While the transmission was out I replaced a bunch of parts such as the throw out bearing, rear main seal, pilot bushing, a new chromoly pivot ball, an rps six puck disc, a Z1 platinum drive shaft, a nismo transmission mount, new stainless steel exhaust bolts, bronze shifter bushings, and new oil lines that go to and from the oil cooler on the passenger side of the car because the old ones were leaking.

Putting the transmission back in was kinda of a pain but was not as bad as I thought everything went very smoothly and the car drives great. That six puck disc however is going to take a little while to get used to.

Also on a side note I made a post the other day about egr removal and if I could do it with the tranny out. I was told no by spee however some other TT.net members think that you can well you can't do it without removing your plenum.

Here are some pictures.
