When you change tire size up front, you aren't changing too many variables really. Total vehicle weight, front tire weight, vehicle drag, and total rotational mass all technically change, but to a small degree. The contact patch variable is the most significant. The main reason to have the same size all around is to be able to rotate when you need to without having to buy new tires - both for convenience and savings. The (most likely slight) reduction in understeer is just gravy. The defense rests.
