Message If you have any actualy information, I'd love to hear it, but your original post contains no information and a bunch of what could be called speculation given the lack of evidence to support your claims.

On the hardware level, do you KNOW that this perticular microprosser has onboard data storage?

On the software level, have you been able to extract this information?

I believe that you are misinterpreting the ECU's ability to keep the engine from stalling even without any maps at all for a safety feature. To claim that running the engine in this condition is "safe" at all seems like a huge stretch.
The ECU is flying blind here, and "rough" doesnt begin to describe the results.

In addition, what evidence do you have to support the idea that this failsafe mode is ever used when primary and secondary maps are present?
