- Thats true but not needed when using a performance chip which will excite the conditions that cause this map to be accessed. When there is a critical problem the microprocessor takes over. JWT uses this map to keep the system contant. Under extreme conditions this map is not needed because the microprocessor takes over.

Re: I don't believe this to be true. It still uses the data on the EPROM, but a different offset (ie the safety maps). Where is it pulling its enrichment values from in this case? It's not in 'limp' code just because of a failing sensor or detonation is detected.

- True but like I said a critical condition turns off this communication.

Re: To the best of my knowledge, JWT doesn't change anything else in the ECU that would tell it to bypass the EPROM's programming entirely if a problem is detected.

- The JWT chip doesn't tell it to bypass the eprom chip when there is a critical problem, the microprocessor does.
