Message	Many stainless steels are magnetic - just depends on the amount of nickel in the alloy. Stainless steels come in a wide range of alloys... Generally speaking stainless should weigh about 3 x more than aluminum, if it is only 50% heavier it is probably not steel, just a heavier aluminum tubing.
