Message just for kicks, i posted up my car on craigslist to see if anybody would make a reasonable offer.. the reason for this is because i'm currently going to college, have not worked legally for more than a year and any little money that i save up ends up goign to something small on the car and my car is far from being in good shape.. it has paint scratches and peeling from the trunk, the wheels are stock, spoiler is rotted and front bumper is unpainted, the AC is leaking through the o rings, power steering leaks, needs new rotors, etc etc...

it would cost me a little over a good 2 grand to be able to make the car cosmetically attractive, but that did not bother me as long as i had a reliable fast TT, a trade off i had to come to acceptance with wanting to drive a TT and being a broke ass college student..

i dont really want to get rid of the car and love it, but then again i dont really see any major source of income coming my way any time soon to be able to drive around a both reliable and pretty car..

i spent about 3500-4000 from my pocket to buy the car initially, spent about 2000 on the motor and swap after i blew the old motor, another 1k fixing the front frame and i'd say about 1500 on other miscellaneous parts including suspension and stereo and what not..

the posting price i put was 7500.. and immediately someone local who just sold his NA and wants to pick up a TT emailed me, we exchanged emails and i told him everything that is wrong with the car and needs attention, gave him pictures and he is offering to take it off my hands this weekend..

if you guys were in my shoes, is this worth it? this car was a problem car to start off with but most of the issues i've dealt with to be able to make it a fairly reliable car now, fixed all vacuum and boost leaks, fast, no smoking, perfect idle, no fluid leaks besides power steering, suspension is good, it's just a whole bunch of little issues that add up, and ht ebodywork that is the only thing that is bothering about the car..

i know i'm still 20 and i'll be able to pick up another tt in th efuture when i have more funds to play with, but right now i do have one that runs well that can potentially last me a while if i just live with it being kind of ugly in the day time for the time being..

i dont know..

another factor is i'm feeling the itch to ride again and 7k could buy me a really nice bike.. which is a good thing, because out here every motorcycle i've bought i sold for exactly what i paid for if not a few hundred bux more.. if i hustle right

but then again i kind of know even if i still have the same amount of money in the future after i get tired of riding or before the rainy season, i might not be able to find a good TT for the same amount of money i sold mine for so it may mean that i'll give up driving a tt for awhile..
