| Here's what Greg said: "As long as your using a internal wastegate turbo you are best using it as such. The new super splits make a internal wastegate turbo as efficient as it can be. If your going to use external wastegates you would not want the wastegate gas to go through the turbo. You would want to direct the exhaust out of the manifold. That design will not work as well as a internal wastegate. The exhaust still needs to go around the hard turn in the turbo and entering the exhaust back into the pipe from the side will cause horrible turbulence and poor exhaust flow. The design fails in everyway at trying to obtain the best flow."
